Conceived as the first built intervention on the Dhrangadhra site, the 2,500 sq ft ground-storied annex establishes the architectural language for the larger development. Set within the farmland and near the stone factory, it responds to the hot, arid climate through a series of low, fragmented volumes organized around shaded courts and semi-open spaces.

Built using locally sourced brick and sandstone, the design emphasizes durability, thermal comfort, and simplicity. Deep overhangs, thick walls, and verandas create shaded transitions while supporting natural ventilation.

Compact yet efficient, the annex balances privacy with shared spill-out areas, forming a modest and cohesive living environment while setting the foundation for the evolving site.
